I saw the notice about the update to the community messages, but did you know there is a special page dedicated to encouraging new and returning editors? See Special:Community. You can add a nice banner to replace the gray background and edit the section at the bottom to put a TODO list in or whatever you want potential editors to know. The details can be found here: Help:Community Page. Let me know if you have any questions. :)
Since you are an active admin of this wiki, I have removed the adoption notice that was still hanging around in the right rail. If that was an error, feel free to undo the change :) —Moviesign (talk) 18:34, May 22, 2019 (UTC)
Hi! My name is Moviesign, and I’m the Fandom Wiki Manager for Skullgirls Wiki. I am here to help the community and be a liaison to full-time Fandom staff. If you ever have a question or issue relating to the wiki, editing, styling, templates, etc., please contact me on my message wall / talk page.
Here are some handy links for help with wiki features:
You may not know, but the official Gaming Footers were recently retired by Fandom staff. As such, the current footers are outdated and not going to be updated by Staff anymore. Me and a few other users are looking for alternatives to replace them, and I'm currently tending to the Fighting Games Footer. Would it be possible for you to replace the current footer on the main page with this one?
Hey there! You probably don't know me at all, but I'm just reporting that there's been a massive vandalism attack on this wiki by a user named BonerBeast. As far as I can tell, literally every template on the wiki's been vandalised, and while I've tried fixing some, there's still tons that are broken.
Can you do anything about this? Please respond if possible!
Hey, Zombiekiller14! I just wanted to ask you about the Skullgirls Wiki Facebook page! I know that you have been updating it regularly, but I was wondering if you have ever tried to contact the Official Skullgirls page through it, or commented/forwarded posts from any other page for that matter? Occasionally I have wanted to ask them questions (like that time when I didn't know if the console versions had the Art Gallery feature or not), but perhaps that would be better from a personal account rather then the wiki one.
I was thinking about attempting to make a icon to use on the links page for it as well. I plan on adding a 'Hero Image' to the Wiki's Main page, so it could take inspiration from that when it's done!
Finally, just out of curiosity, are you the sole admin of the Facebook page? As you are the only one I ever see post... well, posts (if so that's some dedication)! Also is there a Skullgirls Wiki Twitter account? It's not needed as there is already a Facebook page, but sometimes I find that certain contacts are easier to get a hold of via Twitter, and things like re-tweets tend to be more common.
Theres been a debate going on about what to do with the fanart and I was wondering what your thoughts on it were? I noticed that you recently used one of the icon images for a badge and that you have fanart on your user page as well, so I wanted to know if you were for having the images or not. One of the ideas is to have a separate page for them. I haven't been uploading any the last few days because I didn't know if you would want me too. If that seems like a good idea let me know and I'll move them all there.
