Skullgirls Wiki

Real Soviet Announcer[]

Mike Zaimont (old) - Gary Schwartz (new)
This was the first voice pack to be implemented into the Skullgirls ∞Endless Beta∞ on 15th May 2015. The idea of the voice pack is a reference to the video Mike Zaimont had provided for the BlazBlue Extras DVD. In it he provided strategies on how to effectively use the character Iron Tager for the game BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. The video in question is notorious within the BlazBlue community due to Mize Z speaking the entire video in a faux Russian accent; from which it also spawned the "Real Soviet Damage!" meme.

It was removed temporarily due to Mike Z's voice but was replaced by Gary Schwartz of Team Fortress 2 fame on Feb 8 2024.

Female Announcer[]

— Cristina Vee
This voice pack was first heard in-game through a Salty Cupcakes stream. It was the first voice pack to have been demonstrated publicly.

Dazed Announcer[]

"Drunk Commentator" — Joshua Tomar
Though not from an official source, the potential contents of the Drunk Announcer voice pack where first mentioned in a Voices Of Gaming episode, in which Joshua Tomar and other Skullgirls voice actors suggested quotes to be used in the voice pack.

Anime Peacock[]

— Sarah Williams
Though not from an official source, the potential contents of the Anime Peacock voice pack were first mentioned in a Voices Of Gaming episode, in which Sarah Williams and other Skullgirls voice actors suggested quotes to be used in the voice pack, with "GLOMP!" (when initiating a grab) being one of them.

The idea is a switch of Peacock, who is a homage to western cartoons, now having voicelines referencing anime and manga.

Salty Parasoul[]

— Erin Fitzgerald
The idea for the voice pack originates from an in-joke that appeared in several Voices Of Gaming videos.

Valley Girl Painwheel[]

— Danielle McRae
The idea for the voice pack originates from an in-joke that appeared in several Voices Of Gaming videos.

Painwheel now speaks in a goofy valley girl voice to contrast with her regular voice's aggressive and angry tone.

Politician Double[]

"Republican Double" — Kaiji Tang
The idea for the voice pack originates from an in-joke that appeared in several Voices Of Gaming videos.

Double makes frequent jokes referencing U.S. politicians and political topics, all done in comical gruff voice.

Saxploitation Big Band[]

— Rich Brown
The idea for the voice pack was inspired by Blaxploitation films which are an ethnic subgenre of exploitation films usually involving a black protagonist fighting against hostile authority figures in African-American urban areas.

Skullgirl Umbrella[]

— Cassandra Lee Morris
The idea for this voice pack is meant to demonstrate Umbrella's shift in attitude if she were to become a Skullgirl.

Good Granny Dahlia[]

- Wendee Lee

Goth Marie[]

- Kira Buckland

The idea is likely a joke about making Marie act like a typical teenage goth girl.
