Dr. Avian (JP: エイヴィアン博士 Eivian-hakase) was the director of Anti-Skullgirl Lab 8, and was also the doctor responsible for creating Peacock, Big Band, Leduc, Hive, and several others. He rescued Peacock after she was mutilated by slave traders and rebuilt her to be able to defeat the Skullgirl.
Story[]
In Peacock's story mode, Dr. Avian sends her off to fight the Skullgirl, but calls her back when the Lab comes under attack. When Peacock returns, she finds a mortally wounded Dr. Avian who, before passing away, tells her that she is the only one who could possibly defeat the Skullgirl.
He also appears in Big Band's story mode in a similar fashion to Peacock's story, sending Big Band a distress call vociferating that Lab 8 is under attack. By the time Big Band arrives at the lab, the doctor has already been killed in the ambush. It is later revealed that Valentine killed Avian herself, and did so while Double kept Big Band busy by fighting him.
In Big Band's origin story in Skullgirls Mobile, he mysteriously visits Big Band's hospital room after he was beaten to near-death by his fellow officers, and assures Irvin that he can help Big Band recover. He also appears in Peacock's origin story, helping her recuperate as well.
Trivia[]
- He is a fan of jazz music, and used his knowledge of instruments to make Big Band's machinery.
- He dies in almost every story mode he is appears in, with the exception being a cameo at the end of Beowulf's story.
- His race is something akin to an "elf", hence his pointed ears. They are a rare race in Canopy, with the only other known member being Taliesin.
